Service arrived and could not start my truck. So, second wrecker was dispatched and hour and half later could not tow as truck could not be shifted into neutral. Wrecker left.

HYDEX is correct you should be fine with an ecodiesel from what you described, these ecodiesels are not as sensitive as some make them out to be.
