Some of those old Belgians had small bore `12 ga. 18.1 divided by 254=.712 bore size; quite a bit smaller than the standard of .729 for a 12. The English actually called those guns 11 guages. Fastarget is correct. Merkel chokes tend to run tight. My 1620 is marked VBZ/1/2 (IC/Mod), but the chokes patterned more like Mod/Improved Mod.
