Sure, Ruger and Smith & Wesson had released new .380 Pocket Pistols of their own in the form of the LCP II and M&P 380, but the TCP-738 seemed to still be selling due to its lower price point. The Spectrum uses a classic falling-barrel locking system, having two advantages. The felt-recoil is lighter and the slide retraction is easier. The slide locks open on the last shot too. I myself have had failure to fire issues with my TCP 738. I also purchased a Spectrum and have issues with it. When the magazine is full it won’t chamber unless I remove at least two rounds from the magazine. I told Taurus of the issue, sent it in and they polished the feed ramp. I received it back and still have the same issue. 😮
