OpenLoco, in the course of its development, is about 15 years behind OpenTTD. They still haven't finished porting the base game to the new code, let alone add any major new features. Yes, Loco has the advantage of a more flexible map and better track building systems, but otherwise lacks so many features that OTTD is still preferable for me.
