Sep 22, 2010 · The new setup now has a SWM ODU device on the cable from the four way spillter (this splitter is the entry point into my SWM system.) The 4 way spillter has a single input connection from the dish and four outputs feeding the wires to my two DVRs and two HD non-DVR boxes. Now at the back of the HR-20, is the new ODU unit.
How is a SWiM ODU Only wired into a DVR. I have two posts coming out of the SWiM; one labeled "Signal to IRD" and the other "Power to SWiM. With a SWM, only the SAT1 port (labeled FTM or SWM) is used (and potentially an OTA port on an HR20 or H20). In the satellite setup section of your receiver, you can cycle through the various satellites and transponders. When cycling through the satellites (101, 110, 119, etc.), one of them should be SWM.
