Sometimes I use a menavilion during sieges, it's quick enough to use on foot two handed, hits like a mack truck and I can just pull my shield if I get surrounded.

Rhomphaia, voulge, long glaive, glaive... they're all roughly equivalent. They'll all one hit kill just about anything when you're on horseback, and one hit kill a couple of things with the slice through mod. Like a lot of other a smithed Glaive (+Bow or Crossbow to lay back in late battle when you're hurt and some javelin to hunt lord and tier 6 cav). I tend to keep the glaive fairly short so that I can use it in siege too and the increased swing speed make up for the decreased reach.

(both weapons are nearly perfect, no need for smithing!) a long glaive + first "basic" staff is a good/best combination. you have to change the sliders (long/short) till you are content.
