JMiz · #3 · Sep 4, 2018. Hello, I'm new to this site and a novice to anything related to fully computer controlled vehicles. At 54k miles, my 2015 colorado (3.6l) threw it's first check engine code P0449. It's a vent valve solenoid issue. I replaced the vent valve solenoid and cleared the code. Within 2 miles of driving, it came back on.

It appears to me to be an electrical rather than a mechanical / leakage problem. I believe it is the computer checking to see if the electrical circuit is complete to the solenoid coil.
