At a minimum, the ABS must 'know' what speed all the wheels are and has the ability to control the braking wheel by wheel. It may be you have a bad wheel bearing as that was my expirance in my '09. It effected the traction control/stabilitrax sensor possibly draining battery.

Loss of power, stuck in gear, hard shifts especially going Into reverse.
