I like it the way it is - I can turn on and off the flashlight (with the last known brightness/color setting) without having the flashlight controls pop up on the screen. Sometimes I just want to turn it on and off real quick just for a second so I can find my keys or something, and don't really need all the fancy flashlight controls every time - and if I do, I have a hotkey for that.
