Paired with crafted boots for critical block as you level up, it is the best gear available until you reach level 90 and can get Hades' gear. The stats depend on your school, but it is absolutely worth it. It will last you for the rest of the game. Get it.

WW gear does not carry the block that is required in Avalon. You might be able to make that up with a wand, crafted ring and athame, but I think you will need to craft the block boots to be safe. My Death wiz has crafted the whole Avalon gear set, including hat, robe, boots, ring and athame. Waterworks may be easier to farm for at first since you can respawn at least one of the bosses. House of scales is a bit more offensive gear, lots opt for the robe and hat from there. I think the waterworks boots are best though. I might have the hat and boots switched in my head though. Arc 2 is notorious for having a massive drought of worthwhile gear, at least last time I played through it. You can easily make do with Waterworks gear all the way up until you unlock Darkmoor and Exalted Duels. If you wanted to you could farm Chronus/Gladiator for a solid level 90 athame/ring, but otherwise WW will hold you over until level 100.
