I think the 1UZ is a great choice too but it's only a bit easier than the LS swap. The LS has more power potential. It's smaller than the 1UZ too. The 1UZ just barely fits the IS300's engine bay. The exhaust manifolds are scarily close to the steering rack. I had to use SC430 exhaust manifolds so it would clear.

The stock 2jz-ge is probably worth like $500-$900 depending on mileage and I'm sure you can get some good money for the IS350 body parts too. I've test drove a IS350 before and compared to my mom's GS430, it felt alot faster. Even though both engines have about 300hp the 2GR-FSE engine felt alot more responsive.

It's one of those key components that people fail to mention about in their swaps and the ones who do mention it are running the stock 2jz radiator. The JZS171 ecu shares the same digital multiplex plug as the IS300 and the header plug is identical to the IS300 plugs that plug into the ecu. So with a bit of repinning at the plugs and some modification to certain areas of the IS300 harness, you can make this swap plug and play and run off of the 1JZ ecu. See more.
