About a week ago when I started this machine it ran rough for the first 10-15 seconds and then was fine and then yesterday nothing I could not get to start. If so then the solenoid is bad. Or measure the voltage at the starter with the start button engaged. Will tell you if you bent any valves. Or take the valve cover off and see if any of the rockers have an unusual amount of play in them. Timing and bending valves are the two most common causes of no start conditions after a headgasket replacement. Also make sure your firing order is correct, and that your distributor (if equipped) isn't 180° out.

He did change the plug. 570 only has one, single cylinder. Pull the plug. Leave it connected to the plug wire, lay on engine, crank over and watch for spark. Get a compression gauge and check compression, should be 80 or better, I think. Get a pressure gauge and check fuel pressure at fuel rail.

The fuel pump should only cycle for about 3-5 seconds to build initial pressure and then shut off until it sees a signal from the cam/crank position sensor. I think your problem might be a bad relay.
