There are usually 2/3 full servers and around 5 with free slots. I'd consider doing the same, but when it got ported to PS4, it didn't feel the same. PS3, I wrecked the Hardcore servers all day, any day. But when I made the upgrade, I was disgusted. There's still active servers, you won't have a problem finding games.
