The output shaft bearing race is used to locate the tail-housing on a typical 4x4 4spd and is used to locate the bearing retainer (go figure) on the Clark. You'll need to bore out the 4x4 tail-housing to accept the bearing for what should be obvious reasons.
These engines are not as big as some pickup engines and we are asking them to do way more work. With the gearing that takes, the rpms are way up there. Mine runs at 3500 rpm at 60 mph. I think they have a plastic collar on the bottom that locks it to the oil pump and would keep it from coming out when you pull the distributor.
