The Raptor is a well-rounded and easy-to-tame dinosaur. Its high speed and ability to defend itself make it very useful for travel, especially for newer survivors. While the raptor has a lower torpor tolerance, its speed can often make it difficult to target. The usual procedure is to put 50 Mejos at a time in your 0 hotbar slot. Pegos always steal anything there first. It will grab the berries, and run away for 20-30 seconds (haven't timed it), then come back for more. Make sure you're right next to it with another 50 Mejos in 0, and you shouldn't lose any taming bar.
