I have a unique six-crank laser musket called Dancing Mad (it came from a quest mod). On Hard and below it oneshots just about anything, even without the sneak bonus. Only downsides are the cranking and it requiring so much AP per shot that it can't be used in VATS without perks and gear that boosts AP or reduces cost.

Im not a fan of the laser musket for any use. As a sniper, youll be lucky to get 2 shots off (assuming its six crank) before the baddies are on top of you. Id rather have the higher rate of fire of a laser rifle, personally. Plus, im pretty sure the musket will be heavier.
