The reason I went with the CPX-2 was because it has no external/manual safety to disengage. The supposed "Newly designed" CPX-1 has fixed the safety problem by a guard molded into the frame.

I'm hoping to find someone who has had either/both of the following issues and found simple resolution beyond doing warranty service, though I think sending the pistol back to SCCY is probably what will need to happen.
