The M11-A1 was a cheaper to manufacture (less work differentiating it from the standard line) P229 SAS. The SAS was meld treated so the edges were smoothed out, and cost significantly cheaper than the M11-A1 was which just had the rail removed. Not only has the P225 A1 been deleted but the M-11 (formerly the P228) is also on the way out. You can find it on a search in the search box, but otherwise it is on its way out. The M17/M-18 has replaced it. But as neither the P320, or the M-17/M-18 not being allowed in the Republic of CA yet anyone in CA is SOL.

Assuming the P229R E2 is 9mm, then it most likely also has the P229-1 frame.
