Long story short, we decided on a X390, but didn't buy it at the time. Fast forward to a few months ago while at the dealer, they had a nice 2014 X360 with a 48" deck, which we ended up buying. My understanding is the X360 is the predecessor to the X390. I like it because of its simplicity.I don't "need" the k72 transaxle to pull anything or go up hills, don't need the diff lock if all I'll be doing is mowing flat ground, yet the x394's k58 transaxle is serviceable with a filter, it has 4WS, and power lift/steering.
