Kaplan scores and passing nclex.

Looking for advice about what scores should I be aiming for on the Kaplan Trainers for NGN. I heard it was above 60 for the older ones, wondering if that’s true for the new ones! I asked the same question you asked to a friend of mine while studying for nclex and he told me that he was scoring in the low 50% and had passed nclex on his first attempt. I took my Kaplan Readiness test this afternoon. I scored a 62% which according to this chart I found I have a 95.2% chance of passing. The Predictor I took this fall I scored a 59% which is supposedly a 97.2% chance of passing based on the chart. I did poorly on my Diagnostic Test I did 55%, and the instructor told me that I would be safer with a 65% or better, so I focused on my weakest points and passed. I wish you the best! Good answer? I haven't taken boards yet, and I keep scoring in that range on the q-bank and question trainers so we will see how it all goes. Good luck! Whether ATI NLCEX questions are harder than the NCLEX is somewhat subjective. Many people take the NCLEX after prepping with ATI, but pass the NCLEX with 75 questions. The “passing rate” on NCLEX is adaptive, but many state that if you pass at least 50-60% of the questions on ATI test banks, then you will pass the NCLEX.

Kaplan QBank Scores-Do they matter? Done two 75 question QBank tests, 67 and 52 respectively. I guess my question is, does anyone who has passed their NCLEX and used Kaplan have any insight or recommendations? I am of course going to continue to do QBank tests (75 questions each) and review rationales, take notes, etc. but I am just curious.The CAT's just mimic the NCLEX test conditions. To pass the test, you have to reach a point above the pass line that has been statistically proven to determine your competency at nursing.
