You can farm but you get no rain most of the times so either save water in Rain Collectors or move to a spot near a water source. Also if it gets too cold your plants will suffer but if you didn't mess with World Temperature that won't be the case. You can trap normally.

Period. - Fishing is difficult but works. Will probably run out of bait before being fed enough. - Farming works outdoors in winter. Bit slower, but works fine. Just have to watch for water levels since rain is snow and snow does not water plants. - Trapping works as well as any other time of the year, or so it seems.
