MyQ didn't break anything and is far from 'garbage'. They change their api once or twice per year it seems. Openhab user here, the binding for MyQ was fixed and re-deployed within a couple of days. Pretty darn good for opensource/volunteer support :). Using an unpaid 3rd party api connection you have nothing to be complaining about here.
