EDIT: I know for a fact you can attach them to a wild dino to go and tame it later so I would think you can attach to enemy dino. Half the time when I do this that dino vanishes and I find a floating transponder node floating at 50,50 (on wilds I want to tame) Lost many a 150 deep sea creature I was going to tame this way.
