The Uchigatana is very light and has low requirements, buffed you can defend yourself in melee pretty well without having to put many points in dex/strength.Uchigatana on the other hand has a VERY handy 1-handed thrust attack, and its powerstance requirement is the requirement to just wield a Blacksteel 1-handed. This combined with being much lighter than the Blacksteel gives it a better powerstance setup that uses fewer stats and has useful 1-handed moves in the right hand.
