I had this issue and ended up replacing the little metal parts (1 on each side) and so far so good. The parts were not sold directly thru LR and only cost $2.50 but I had to pay $18 for shipping. I believe this was worth it as I’ve had my LR for almost 4 years with 3, now 1 has passed cats and I couldn’t imagine living without it.
