Some good pets AFAIK are greater wolves, greater sabertooth and for Siptah specifically there are unique dogs that will get the same perks every time, such as Brutus, who always gets +45 strength because each perk is +15 every time. So if you can find where those spawn and get a Brutus then that pet might be the best you can get in Siptah.

Sand reaper queen will wreck new players, but they have tiny health pools and aren't a problem for experienced players. Paired with greater sabertooth and boars they can be difficult.
For whatever reason they have some of the highest base damage of any pet, on top of having the highest strength scaling of any pet (10% increased damage per point of strength, with no diminishing returns!) Their greater variant even comes with 10 strength by default. It's the only pet I've found which can beat out most thralls in terms of damage.
